Happy Thanksgiving

Wife, kids, mom and dad, great in-laws, a good job, a warm house, the fridge is full...too full, cars that run (most of the time), hunting, fishing, men who will be bold and stand for Christ, the Word of God, my forgiving God, my Sovereign God, great friends and even the not so great friends, apple pie and tiffany tort (ask my wife what it is) and the list could continue. Thank you God for giving all this to me. I know it is on loan and I pray for your wisdom to be a godly steward of what you have given me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!


PS Been having a great time hunting. No deer for me yet but this is a picture of my friend that I hunt with and his deer shot yesterday morning. You got lucky Jim!!!

I am still playing (trying to play) the guitar. Concert coming to a town near you!!

Not yet

We have been out several times sitting in the tree stand and have seen some great deer but unfortunately they have yet to come within my shooting range. I did shoot at a 120's class 8 point with a nice rack but he was chasing a doe and it was a lousy shot. I sat in my stand this last Tuesday for 10 hours and had a lot of deer come by in the morning but not the big one. We will be out again this weekend so there is still hope. Oh, and Tami, pheasant season opens Saturday!! I know, its hard to control your excitement!! You might be able to reach me on my cell...or maybe not. See you in the fields!

I'm Ready!!

I usually wait until this month before I go deer hunting. I have tried on several occasions to get out but we have either had some sick kids, it was raining and lightning or I have had to actually work. For anyone who would like to go, I am leaving at 4:30 in the morning to get to my stand at least an hour before light (to let the wild settle down) and hopefully shoot a deer the size of what you see in the video, or at least one with a good rack. So, don't call, I won't answer (cell reception is iffy any how)I will let you know what happens. Better get some rest.

PS I'm nervous!!!
