I love to get up early in the morning. Its quiet, everyone else is sleeping. It gives me time to read and be aone with God. This morning.....well....the fire has burned down in the fireplace..can't get it going so the house is cold, the dog won't quit barking. He keeps running from the back porch to the shop as if he is protecting us...I can't see anything out there. I holler at him....he keeps barking. Oh well, I'll read. Here comes one kid, "I can't sleep" I knew it would happen. It's not even 6:00 yet, here comes kid #2 with the same problem...he hollers at the dog....same result. They walk back to their rooms. I should go see what the problem is but it's cold out, I'm mad, don't care, just wanted a quiet morning. Kid # 2 back downstairs, fire still not going, dog still barking, done very little reading some praying and whole lot of unchristian thoughts about the dog! Well, better make sure his barking is worthwhile or else his days may be numbered. Its cold in here anyway, just as well see what the fuss is. Hey, he just quit barki....nope not so lucky! Country life....at least I can go outside without getting dressed!!
