Changing
I am in process of changing a few things. Not real sure why, just like to mix it up a little. So in the next few days I should get better organized.

PASSION!!
It's what I've been praying for. I love being a paramedic/firefighter. Not because I like to help people (I have no Compassion, just ask my wife) but because I like to stick people with needles or shove tubes down their throats and I love to enter a house that is full of smoke and has fire coming out the windows....That stuff is AWESOME!!! So maybe I do have a little passion but that passion will soon be over, it won't last. I can tell that after nearly 20 years of it that my excitement for the thrill is beginning to lessen. So I have been praying for passion. Passion for what I'm not sure but I do know that I want it to be for something that will last. You see, when I'm six feet under, what will it matter? There will be more and better medics and firefighters that will fill my spot and are waiting for the day that I retire (that will be a little while yet). So my prayer is that God will fill my heart and life for a passion that will not end, that can be evident well after I'm gone. What will it be and will I know it when I have it? How does Passion work? Does it hurt? Is it fun? Can it be contageous or infectious? Can I give to my wife and pass it on to my kids? Does it matter? No Greater Love Has Any Man Than This....you know the rest . GOD I WANT PASSION!!!

My Anniversary!!
18 years ago today I got married!!! Tami and I talked last night and we are so grateful for today. We laughed at ourselves because of how little we actually new about each other or about being married. We both can say that today is definitely better than the first!! So, what do you do to celebrate 18 years of marriage? Well, let me tell you...Today I am on call for the fire department, its the last day of summer break for the kids, some friends from Winfield would like to get together with us this afternoon, our daughter has gotten braces and contacts in the last two weeks, our youngest will be getting appliances for his teeth soon and its raining outside!! What I am saying is, I have healthy kids, great friends, live in one of the most unpredictable weather pattern states and I have my best friend for my wife.....God has given me 18 wonderful years and has blessed me beyond what I am worthy of. To my in-laws...thank you for allowing me to be in your family. I was not aware of what I was getting when we got married. Your faithfulness to God has been passed down to your daughter and is being passed to your grandchildren. Sorry, there will be no more grandchildren from us!!! Tami, I love you and look forward to what is in store for us in the next 18 years. I could not ask for anything else....well....maybe an apple pie!!!
