2009 M&Ms (Miracles to Memories)

Coaching Seth's soccer team was a little like herding cats!! We had a great time and a great winning record. This is an interest that Seth and I both share. Over the years I am sure we will have disagreements but will always share the love of sports together. Thank you Seth for allowing me be a part of your life in this way!

2009 Is quickly coming to an end. The end of a year has always brought back a variety of memories for the Hiebert family. My oldest sister died from muscular dystrophy at the end of a year. It has been many years since that event but it continues to bring a flood of good and difficult memories for all of us. Not unlike many of you who also have experienced such events. I was going through pictures of this past year and began to find pictures that bring about a variety of thoughts. Some pictures reveal some traditions that have been started, memories of my childhood that now is being passed to my children, memories of what God has done within our family this past year and many other thoughts come to mind as I look at the pictures. Enjoy them yourself and may God bless each of you as He has us.

My Aunt Grace who would make playdough with me when I was a kid now jumping on a trampoline with my two sons. We all had a good laugh and my kids will never forget that day!! Thank you Aunt Grace...your the best!!

Like a fish!

Prior to this meet Kirsten was ready to take a break from swimming. Practice twice during the week and meets on weekends was starting to become too much for her so we all agreed to take a break until summer. Well, now that she had such a good meet she has become motivated to continue to swim through the winter. Tami and I have continued to allow her to make the choice of whether she swims or not. It has been fun to see her become more outgoing and continue to open up to those around her. It will be interesting to see how long and far she takes this. She placed first in her heat at this meet. It was the West Championships. Enjoy the video. She is the swimmer on the top of the screen. Sorry about the dude yelling!! We hear him at most meets!

A New Approach!

AAARRRGH!!! They did it again!! They cut our lights. We have had some super secret stealth (Real government type!!) surveillance going on for several days at our house so we have the evidence at our lab (you know, fingerprints, scanners, DNA, sketch artists) and we are waiting on some results. So as we wait we have decided to add a few new agents to the case. If you come to visit please bring some type of identification. You have been warned!! I will now let the new agents introduce themselves and allow you to become familiar with their expertise!!

Just a sample

This is just a sample of the deer that we have seen while hunting. Its a small one in comparison to many others that we are trying for. I know, I will be sorry for not shooting this one but it is still a great hunt when you see wildlife in their natural habitat.
Besides hunting I love this time of year. Tami takes care of decorating the inside while I spend my time outside. Not quite Chevy Chase yet but my goal is to add a few more lights each year. I think that Tami is starting to get embarrassed but I figure it is just for a month (or two and trying for three). We have had someone cutting our lights outside along the drive so we have modified surveillence going at our house so if you show up, beware, we are watching you. Three of the last five nights I have had to repair lights, splice, move, rewire, splice, move, rewire, you get the drill. So, game on!! You will not defeat my spirit! And Merry Christmas to you wire cutter dude!! He came for you too!!
