Well, we made it through the holidays and it was a holiday season that will be remembered. Cold, white christmas, sick family, christmas delayed, family members without work and yet we remained well fed, received more than needed, no hospitalizations and no immediate life or death crisis. We are so blessed.
Right now it is 4 in the morning. I have been trying to get up earlier to have some time to myself and to become more focused on prayer and just listening to what God wants from me, however, I have been up since 1 going from one bathroom to the next helping two sick kids. YUCK!!! One is now sleeping on our bedroom floor, the other is resting in their bed, for at least 20 minutes then we start the routine again. Why is there not a manual on proper positioning of children over a toilet when sick? It seems rather easy but apparently not. I feel bad when my kids are sick. Nothing to do but let the bug run its course. Tami is also sleeping in her bed, with a bowl next to her, just like the kids!! It is really sweet!! Me? I think I will go to work early.....a day early....Call me if you need me, my number is 911.
Hey. . . you want me to come help? Just give me a call.!! Mom H
ReplyDeleteCourse, you probably won't read this for another day or two and I'm supposed to leave Friday for Girard.
not gonna lie -- i love the fact that they are praying, God-fearing men like you on the other end of the phone when we do have to call 911. thankful we've not had to do that -- and that here in olathe there are firefighters, paramedics, police and EMT's just like you. i know, we go to church with them. blessings on you and yours -- may tbe bug be gone quickly.
