For several months I have picked up the guitar and played through about a dozen different songs that I enjoy. I have just started to be able to play the music and think through the words to the music. It has started to open a different avenue of worship for me. I do this for me. It may sound selfish but it is one thing that is mine to spend time with and at some point I will share it with others. My wife endures my terrible timing but we have enjoyed playing together. I want to be able to play for my daughter at some point. I don't know why that is but for some reason it is something that motivates me. Maybe some day it will make sense but for now I just use if for motivation. At some point I want to get a good six string guitar but for now I am content with what I've got. Whoa … you didn't tell me about this! It was only back in October that you promised an on-line concert. BAM! Here you are already. Next time I come to Hesston, I will bring along my axe and we'll have a little jam session. (no one else is invited) Seriously, you may be just learning but I am soooo out of practice we are at the same skill level right now. ReplyDeleteAs his mother,I can attest to the fact that he flunked music!!! For not opening his mouth when he sang. . .now, if we can get him to sing along with the guitar for his next concert. .. WOW! Dad and I watched it this morning, Rob. . . and we didn't laugh. We're impressed. Keep it up.
